Terms of Use
TalkBeam is operated by GYM Rewards, LLC (“we”). By using the TalkBeam app or website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use TalkBeam.
Be respectful: zero tolerance for abuse
TalkBeam is for talking with people you trust and people you meet in public channels. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to use TalkBeam to:
- Harass, threaten, bully or intimidate anyone, or encourage violence.
- Share hate speech or content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation or similar characteristics.
- Share sexual content, or any content that sexualizes minors.
- Spam, impersonate others, or share someone’s private information without permission.
- Break the law, or interfere with TalkBeam or other people’s use of it.
Blocking and reporting
- Block anyone from their profile in a channel. You won’t hear them or see their messages, and they can’t talk to you privately.
- Report a person or a message from the app. We review reports within 24 hours and remove offending content. People who break these rules are removed from channels or banned from TalkBeam.
Your content
You own what you say on TalkBeam. You give us permission to relay, transcribe, store and process it only as needed to run the service for you and the people in your channels (see our privacy policy). You’re responsible for what you say and share.
Emergencies
TalkBeam is not an emergency service and doesn’t contact 911. SOS alerts, crash and fall detection, and automated weather alerts notify the people and companies you’ve chosen and depend on your phone, connection and settings; they can be delayed or missed. In an emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number.
Subscriptions (TalkBeam Pro)
- TalkBeam Pro is an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
- If a free trial is offered, any unused part of it ends when you buy a subscription.
- Purchases are also covered by Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement.
Company accounts
If you use TalkBeam through your employer or another organization (TalkBeam Enterprise), that organization manages your company channels and settings, and can see company channel transcripts, locations you share with company channels, and safety alerts, under its own policies.
Your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Me → Delete account). We may suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.
Disclaimers
TalkBeam is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for losses caused by delays, outages, or messages that aren’t delivered.
